Lorenzo was born September 2, 1816 in Adams Center, Jefferson County, New York and he married three times.  He married Lydia M. Green, September 1, 1838 in Pinckney, New York.  She died in February 1848 in Adams Center, New York.  To that union, two children are known to have been born, Elisha Potter Maxon, July 8, 1839 and David James Maxon, January 14, 1845.  Sometime after the death of Lydia, Lorenzo married Rowena Stillman.  She died July 6, 1853, no children known to have been born to that union.  On August 23, 1853 Lorenzo married Adaline E. West Bly.  It is assumed that she had previously been married to a Bly.    To that union one known child was born, Charles West Maxon on May 17 1856. 

Lorenzo died November 2, 1904 and Adaline died April 8, 1916, both in Farina, Illinois and are buried in the 7th Day Baptist Cemetery in Farina.
